Leo Korda-2 on Furlough from the Navy

Sailor on Furlough


Leo F. Korda-2, chief carpenter in
the navy, is visiting at the home of
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton
Korda-3, 661 Prentice street while on
a 15-day furlough.The young man
entered the naval service last spring
as a carpenter and spent four months
at Eastleigh, England, where he as-
sisted in the construction of buildings
comprising the big American naval
aviation station. While there he was
promoted from first class carpenter to
chief carpenter. During his stay
abroad he also visited London and
Liverpool and was in France for three
[illegible]. He will report at Pelham Bay,
[illegible] at the end of his furlough
[illegible] to be released from the
[illegible] thereafter.
