Sketch of Mr. Skibba
An account of the death of Frank Skibba, Sr. [Frank Skibba-2], of Buhl Minnesota, former local resident, who died there on August 20 [sic], appeared in a Buhl newspaper as follows:
"The sudden death of Frank Skibba, Sr., Sunday following favorable reports of his condition Saturday, came as a real shock to the many friends of the family in this community.
"Mr. Skibba was taken to the Eveleth hospital August 22 with a ruptured appendix. Medical aid was clearing up this trouble when a blood clot obstructed the heart, causing his passing Sunday, August 30, and [sic] 10:10 p.m.
"For near[l]y 19 years Mr. Skibba had been employed in the Buhl municipal power house as an engineer, where he was held in the highest esteem for his workmanship and character. His kindliness toward men, women and children, and his cheery word will be missed by all who knew him.
"Services were held Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart with Rev. Fr. D.V. Patt officiating. A requiem mass was sung by the Sequin sisters. Mrs. Carmela Anderson sang "Ave Marie" during the services.
"Mr. Skibba was born May 7, 1872 in Berlin, Germany. He came to the United States when eight years old.
"At Stevens Point Wis., he married Miss Gusta Korda [Gusta Korda-2] on July 27, 1897. They moved to Buhl in 1908 where they have since made their home. During the last 19 years Mr. Skibba has been employed in the village power house as engineer.

Skibba-1] and George [George William Skibba-1] of Wharton, Texas. Louis [Louis L Skibba-1] of Minneapolis, and Frank, Jr. [Frank Skibba-1], of Buhl.
