John F. Korda-1

An electrical contractor here for the last 35 years, John F. Korda, 59, 500 Prentice St., died at 10 o'clock this morning at St. Michael's Hospital.

He was in partnership with August Wysocki, 1024 4th Ave., under the firm name of Korda and Wysocki.

Mr. Korda, who had a heart condition, entered the hospital on Friday. He had also been hospitalized for 21 days in January.

He was born in Stevens Point on Oct. 9, 1899, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Korda [John Korda-2 and Antonia Kluck-2].

As a boy, he attended St. Peter's Parochial School.

On Aug. 1, 1921, he was married at St. Peter's Catholic Church to the former Angeline Schalbrack-1, and the couple settled at their present address.

Mr. Korda's survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Lillian) Barton [Bruce Barton-0 and Lillian Korda-0], 508 Prentice St.; a son, John, Jr. [John Korda-0], Whiting, and a granddaughter.

A brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Church Friday morning at 9 o'clock with burial following in Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dzikoski Funeral Home after 6 o'clock this evening.

The rosary will be said there tonight and Thursday night at 7:30.
