Durand Services

Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Durand [Mae Korda-2], 79, 1233 Green Ave. will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at St Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Chester Zielinski will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetary.

Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. today at the Shuda Funeral Chapel. The rosary society of St. Peter's, of which she was a member, will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Durand died Tuesday morning at St. Michael's Hospital following a lengthy illness. She had been hospitalized the past two weeks.

She was born Oct. 26, 1897, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Anton Korda [Anton Korda-3, Susan Czech-3]. She attended St. Peter's School and worked at the Plover-Whiting Paper Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1959.

She married Archie Durand-2 on Aug. 18, 1924, at St. Peter's Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Robert Millie Fisher [Mildred Durand-1, Robert Fisher-1], 1233 Green Ave; one brother, Leo Korda [Leo Korda-2], Chicago, one sister, Mrs. Anna Collier [Anna Korda-2], Flint, Mich., one grandson and three great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and four sisters preceeded her in death.
