Former Resident Dies

Funeral services were held at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church at Chicago Friday morning for Frank Korda Sr. [Frank Korda-2], 70, of Chicago, who died there Tuesday. Mr. Korda was a native of Stevens Point.

Burial was made in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Chicago.

Mr. Korda was born here on March 9, 1891, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Korda-3. He grew up here, where the Korda family residence has been maintained for many years at 661 Prentice St. He went to Chicago about 50 years ago and he operated a paint factory for many years. He later sold the factory and then established a paint retail store.

He is survived by his [second] wife, the former Clara Kirschbaum-2 of Chicago: a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) King [Dorothy Korda-1], Franklin Park, Ill.; two sons, Irwin [Irwin Korda-1], Park Ridge, Ill., and Frank Korda Jr.[Frank Korda-1], Franklin Park; six grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Gussie Skibba [Gusta Korda-2], Buhl, Minn., Mrs. Josephine Swetalla [Josephine Korda-2], Amherst; Mrs. Sam (Anna) Collier [Samuel Collier-2 and Anna Korda-2], Flint, Mich., Mrs. John (Jennie) Kubiak [John Kubiayk-2 and Jennie Korda-2], Oshkosh, and Mrs. Mae Durand [Mae Korda-2], 661 Prentice St., and one brother, Leo Korda-2, Chicago.
Among those attending the funeral services Friday were Mrs. Durand and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jakusz [Harry Jakusz-1 and Mildred Durand-1] and son James [James Jakusz-0], all of 661 Prentice St.
